Maintenance and Grounds Officer

The Grounds and Maintenance Officer is responsible for assisting in the maintenance of school infrastructure across Xavier High School. Ensuring the provision of a contemporary and sustainable learning environment that is supporting CEDWW core business of learning, teaching and wellbeing.

Casual Teaching Staff

The successful applicant will be able to clearly demonstrate:

  • An understanding of and commitment to the ideals of Catholic Education
  • Expertise/Experience in Diverse Learning would be advantageous.
  • Experience and/or the ability to teach Stage 4, 5 and 6 in any of the above subject areas.
  • Expertise as a classroom practitioner and passion for delivering high quality lessons.
  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications and experience.
  • Ability to use technology to inform learning.
  • A sound understanding of contemporary research in educational practice.
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.

NESA Presiding Officer - HSC Exams 2024

Role commences September and concludes November

HSC Exams are held 15th October – 11th November

The Presiding Officer will liaise closely with the school and is responsible for managing the preparation, conduct and supervision of the HSC exams. This includes managing a team of supervisors.

Canteen/Cafe - Casual Position

Applications Close: Monday 1 July 2024.

Experience in managing the day to day running of a successful cafe/canteen, including safe handling of food, appropriate food preparation knowledge and experience and ordering supplies.

Exam Supervisors

HSC Trial Exams: 5 August – 19 August
Yr 11 End of Course Exams : 6 September – 13 September
NESA HSC Exams:15 October – 7 November

Exam Supervisor Criteria

  • have a current Working With Children’s Check (WWCC) clearance for employment
  • checking exam rooms are appropriately equipped and set up
  • supervising students in separate exam rooms
  • collect completed exam papers
  • packing up after the exams.
  • Pay rate is estimated at around $48 per hour
