In Albury, there exists a rich legacy of Catholic education that spans across generations. Historically, Catholic secondary education in the area was offered through St Joseph’s Ladies’ College, for girls and Aquinas College for boys, both providing quality education within the Catholic tradition.

In late 2019 Xavier High School was successful in an application for a Capital Grant. This Grant was used to complete the refurbishment of the existing Sports Stadium, transforming it into a multi-purpose complex complete with stage, seating for 1,200, the inclusion of two new classrooms, upgraded amenities & commercial kitchen facilities.
There has been a long history of Catholic education in Albury. The provision of Catholic secondary education for many years was through St Joseph’s Ladies’ College (later St Joseph’s High School) for girls and Aquinas College for boys.
It was decided in the early 1980s that the two schools would amalgamate to become a co-educational school for secondary students and in 1983 Xavier High School was founded.
