Support Structures

The following structures support our Curriculum at Xavier High School

  • Lesson cycle is 10 days
  • Teaching 5 periods per day
  • Each period is 60 minutes in length
  • Alternative timetable on Tuesdays which encompasses 5 shorter teaching periods and an alternative session for student learning
  • @ Xavier encompasses HSIE, RE and ENGLISH teaching in teams in Stage 4

Compulsory subjects:

  • Religion 4–8 periods per cycle

Students must be enrolled in and complete a minimum of 12 units of study in the Preliminary course — made up of Board Developed or Board endorsed subjects.
