Year 9 Camp was held at Howman’s Gap YMCA in Falls Creek. Students were challenged by a range of activities, such as canoeing, bush walking, archery and abseiling.
The first day was quite cold with a top of 2.5°C, however spirits were very high as students successfully completed the challenges. The evening was complimented with a series of fun games and trivia.
Many thanks to the students for the good manner in which they conducted themselves and to the staff for making the event such a success.

Overall, the year nine camp was a wonderful opportunity to advance skills in unusual areas and to push ourselves out of our comfort zones. it was well organised and structured and all activities that i participated in ran smoothly. although there were many challenges to overcome, whether it be the minor issue of not having many well known peers in your group or not participating in in activities due to our fears, we got to push ourselves in the challenge by choice activities and learn to socialise and bond with others outside of the classroom. best! Year 9 camp was a great experience and a great way to get out of our comfort zones. My favourite part was the giant swing as it was a great way to see the surroundings. Georgie Attree
Great for pushing boundaries and challenging us. Also a great opportunity to meet new people. Eliza Spalding
