Year 10 and 11 Girls Locate Your Career

Do you love using gadgets and exploring new technology?
Do you love maps and are you curious about your world?
Do you love the outdoors and have a sense of adventure?
Then this program is for you!

The National Environment Centre in Thurgoona, is offering a unique program around using location information on the organic farm.

During the Locate your career program we explore how location information is used in many fields and is applicable across so many careers. We will use location based technology like GPS, surveying equipment and Google Earth to navigate as well as map endangered species and their habitat.

Who can attend?

This is for female Year 10 or 11 NSW high school students who are interested in exploring an exciting career which uses location information such as planning, engineering, surveying, environmental science, emergency management, agriculture, civil construction and information technology.
