On Thursday September 14, Xavier High School celebrated National Health & Physical Education Day. Our students spent their lunch playing various sporting games in the sun, making smoothies, selling fruit sticks, dance games, positive mental health boards and so much more!
What is National HPE Day?
National Health & Physical Education (HPE) Day is a nationwide initiative that highlights the importance of HPE in the Australian Curriculum, and its influence on the learning and development of children.
Since 2012, National Health and Physical Education (HPE) Day has been the annual day on the calendar to raise awareness of and advocate for the value of HPE in Australian schools. The day aims to highlight the importance of HPE and impact on the learning potential and wellbeing of all children, the benefit to all schools, and the valuable contribution to the wider community.
