World day of Prayer is a worldwide movement of Christians of all traditions who come together to observe a common day of prayer on the first Friday of March each year to which all people are welcome.

The theme for World Day of Prayer this year is: “Do you know what I have done to you?” Jesus sets, with the washing of the disciples feet, an example of radical love- and he demands the same from us. During this Season of Lent, let us respond to the call to prayer and take a moment to meditate on what that might mean for each of us.

Let us pray:
Lord Jesus Christ, we come before you in prayer, bringing the needs of all your people before you. We especially remember the people of Australia, asking your blessings and the power of the Holy Spirit to fall upon them.
All: Lord, We are amazed by you. How you love us.
How deep and radical is your love.
Therefore, let all the earth bow in awe,
and praise the name of the Lord.
May we “Do as you have done to us.”
