The Project – Tourette Syndrome

“Tourette Syndrome, (TS), is a neurological disorder characterised by involuntary, irresistible body movements and vocalizations. It is complex and individual in its effect. People with TS seek understanding and acceptance”.  (http://www.tourette.org.au/).

Last night on The Project, a young man was featured and spoke about what it is like living as a young person with Tourette’s Syndrome. This powerful story is both a celebration of this young person’s ability, but also a confronting reminder of how difficult it can be living with this syndrome. As an inclusive community, we share this with you in an effort to promote understanding and acceptance.
