On Wednesday 1st March Headspace and the Survivors of Suicide group held the Albury Wodonga Big Splash at Albury Swim Centre.
This event is a community fundraiser to bring awareness and funding to support Albury’s Mental Health services. Among a number of community groups and businesses
Xavier entered a team into the schools event, the 50m Butterfly Relay. We had 6 students swim in the event including Patrick Richardson, Georgia Polkinghorne, Niamh Boyer, Mackenzy Muller, Liam Dowling and Mia Duryea. The students were strong contenders throughout the relay with an opening lead.
We finished the race head to head against Albury High School finishing a close second with a narrow touch on the wall. Congratulations to these students for representing the school so positively in an event that we hold great appreciation and support for. There were many Xavier students present at the event swimming in various races for other organisations and businesses which is a credit to the spirit and giving personalities of our kids. Well done to all!
