Senior Girls Football

Wednesday 28th May saw Senior Girls out for the day competing in the Giants AFL Cup.

The girls burst from the gates to take a one goal lead at half time, before Murray High School kicked the next two goals to nil to take the win. Sarah McLeod-Nibbs was fantastic in the middle all game.

Mariah Tischler stood up against St Pauls and showed her dominance all over the ground and kicked the opening goal. Grace Senior and Tayla Rogers were also amongst the goals. Girls played well and supported each other at every contest. We ran away winners by 4 goals at the final siren.

Poor kicking for goal was a curse in the final game against Billabong High School.

Billabong kicked four unanswered goals in the first half. Despite being well and truly in the contest after the main break, we could only muster a terrible 2 points for the remainder of the game, giving the opposition an easy win.

Well done to all girls involved on the day. You played with great spirit and represented the school with pride.
