About Schoology

Xavier High School has embraced technology as an essential part of preparing students for the 21st century. All classrooms have SMART boards and sound systems. Xavier also launched a 1:1 learning initiative using Google Chromebooks. Every student has a Chromebook on which they do their assignments, collaborate with peers, conduct research, and receive feedback from teachers. At the heart of this 1:1 initiative is Schoology.

Schoology is Xavier’s online learning, classroom management, and social networking platroom that improves learning through better communication, collaboration, and increased access to curriculum and supplemental learning content.

Schoology is an innovative learning management system (LMS) and social network that makes it easy to create and share academic content. The platform allows instructors, students and administrators to create a meaningful virtual classrooms and extend learning beyond the boundaries of the physical classroom space.

Schoology for parents

We offer access to Schoology for parents as often parents are on the receiving end of “what the teacher said” and clear communication suffers because of this. Parent access to Schoology aims to provide a private link to see individual student updates on a daily basis. This program hopes to alleviate the issue when a report card comes home and the parent is shocked. Teachers can post due dates, assignment details, resources to to assist parents who play a pivotal role in their child’s success.
