Protected Industrial Action

Dear Parents/Guardians

I write to inform you of the second Protected Industrial Action to be undertaken by some of our staff on Monday December 4 between 8.30am and 12.30pm. This action has come about because Catholic schools and the Independent Education Union, after continued lengthy negotiations, have still not yet agreed to all terms of a new Enterprise Agreement.

The safety and wellbeing of our students is our first priority and I can assure you that supervision for students will be provided for the duration of the action (8.30am to 12.30pm).

Students will not be able to follow their normal timetabled classes during this time.  However, minimal supervision will be provided for all students who do attend school from 8.30am. Normal classes will resume at 12.30pm.

If your son or daughter will not be attending school I ask that you inform the school of their absence through our normal channels.

I shall keep you informed of any further developments in regard to the Protected Industrial Action. If you have any questions please contact me.

Yours sincerely

Gavin Dykes
Principal
