Kool Schools 2017 – Official launch at Retro Lane on November 17th 2018

In early July, some of our very talented music students travelled to Melbourne to record their original songs at Studio 52 Collingwood. Our school was given three tracks to record and the resulting album combines some of the best songwriters we have from our local secondary schools. Our young musicians performed beautifully at the local launch and were also invited to perform at the Melbourne Awards night on November 18th. Lauren Eddy was nominated for best indie folk ballad for her song ‘This Old Town’ and Jack Mitsch and band for best male vocal indie rock track for ‘See You Dance’

The Albury City CD aptly named ‘Home Grown’ is full of amazing tracks and we thank the Albury City Council for their ongoing support and sponsorship of the Kool Skools project encouraging our young people to write original songs.

Congratulations to all talented our singer/songwriters Jack Mitsch, James Worth, Jack Woodman, Lauren Eddy and Tiana Smerdon.
