NSW State U15 Girls AFL Grandfinal

On Tuesday 8th August the U15 Girls team competed in the NSW State U15 Girls AFL final at Blacktown ovals, Sydney. The girls were slightly undermanned on the day with some late withdrawals, however, persisted in their efforts and were gallant in their performance. They competed against St Pius College, Wagga Wagga High School, Bega High School and Mount Saint Joseph’s coming away with two wins and two losses. This prevented us from making finals which saw another local side (Saint Francis, Leeton) defeat St Pius by a single point. Some outstanding performers were Olivia Barber, Tayla Sanson and Isabella Godfrey, however, all the girls stood up when needed.

The girls were exemplary in their representation of the school and are commended on making it to the State Final, hopefully we can return again next year with some better results. Thank you to Mrs Lieschke for her support on the trip as manager.
