The last 2 days of term 1 our SLR students were given the opportunity to ride part of the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail. Students were dropped off in Harrietville and rode 22km into Bright where we stopped for lunch and a well-deserved break. We continued on through Bright and made our way along the 30km trail to Myrtleford where we stayed the night before heading out to Beechworth the next day.
After a good night’s sleep we made our way to Beechworth continuing along the Murray to Mountain Rail Trail. This leg was by far the more challenging section of the ride, students rode some long steep inclines particularly on the approach to Beechworth.
Thank you to Mr Gosbell and Miss McNair for giving up their time to give these students this opportunity. Thanks to them also for the support they provided the students throughout the 2 days.
