Monsignor William Fulton – A gentleman, and a great man of faith

Our Xavier High School faith community gives thanks for the life of dedicated, caring service by Monsignor William Fulton who died at the Mercy Hospital in Albury on Friday night. Monsignor Fulton had served as a priest for 54 years until his retirement in 2011, and spent 13 years at St Patrick’s in Albury. He also served in the parishes in Wagga, Howlong, Leeton, Tarcutta and The Rock.

Monsignor Fulton moved from Holbrook to Albury when he was 12 and worked at the State Bank in Wodonga for several months before being transferred to Melbourne. He told The Border Mail in 2011 he believed God had given him a calling to become a priest.
Monsignor Fulton attended Christian Brothers College in Albury, and has made an important contribution to the story of Catholic Education in our city.

Monsignor Fulton will always be remembered as a gentle, humble and hard-working man who spent considerable time comforting the sick.

Monsignor William Fulton – A gentleman, and a great man of faith.
May he rest in peace.
