Bill Turner Trophy Report

Our under 15 girls soccer team had a huge amount of success in the Bill Turner Trophy this year. The knockout competition is made up of around 500 teams which come from New South Wales, Victoria, ACT and Queensland.

Our team had wins against James Fallon High School (3-0), Albury High School (8-1), Cootamundra High School (5-0), Kooringal High School, Wagga (5-3) and Marion College, Griffith (3-1). This made us the Riverina Champions and also granted us a position in the final 16 teams of the competition.

Last Thursday we played Overnewton Anglican College from Melbourne. We went down narrowly (1-0) in this game. The girls are to be congratulated on their performances throughout the competition this year. This is the furthest a team from Xavier has made it in this competition. To make it to the final 16 is an outstanding achievement.
