On Thursday 3rd of March 2016, 46 students from Xavier High School awoke early to head to Wagga for the annual B.I.S.S.A Swimming Carnival. We had competitors from Xavier HS swimming in every 5pm event and were also able to field a team in every relay. There were some excellent results achieved during this carnival including many students who achieved personal best times and broke B.I.S.S.A records that have stood for many years. A big congratulations must go to Laura Keighran and Patrick Richardson who were Age Champions in their respective age groups on the day. To finish the day Xavier High School were also crowned winners of the ‘Girls Swimming Shield’ and runners-up in the ‘Boys Swimming Shield.’ This resulted in XHS being runners-up for the B.I.S.S.A Overall Points Tally Shield by 3 points to Mater Dei. This is a huge achievement and a great credit to all swimmers that competed on the day.
